Emerald Coast Hospice Kicks Off 21st Annual Food Drive to Support Caring & Sharing of South Walton.
WHAT: Emerald Coast Hospice is proud to launch its 21st Annual Food Drive on September 1^st, continuing its commitment to fighting food insecurity in the communities we serve. Last year, the campaign provided more than one million meals—a milestone we aim to match again this year. We invite community members to join us by donating non-perishable food items or making monetary contributions to support local hunger relief efforts. Each month, Caring & Sharing of South Walton serves an average of 850 local families, distributing more than 33,000 food items to help our neighbors in need.

WHAT:  Wish list items include:          Pop top soups
                                                          Canned protein – tuna, chicken
                                                          Granola bars – other snack items
                                                          Breakfast items – cereal, cereal bars, grits, oatmeal
Also needed are:
Men and Women’s personal care items
Diapers – size 3,4, 5
Wipes
WHY:  Hunger remains a pressing issue across the country. According to Feeding America, nearly 12 million seniors and older adults experience food insecurity. For older adults, food insecurity can severely impact health, exacerbating chronic conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. As an organization dedicated to serving seniors, Emerald Coast Hospice is committed to helping ensure that no one in our community goes without this most basic need - nutritious food.
HOW TO HELP: Throughout September, Emerald Coast Hospice will be collecting both food and financial donations to benefit Caring & Sharing of South Walton.
