Brand New Destin Emergency opens winter of 2016-17 on Highway 98 at Tequesta Drive. It will be a full-service ER with 8 exam rooms, X-ray, CT and an on-site lab. FWBMC has a dedicated Pediatric ER and an Express ER for minor illnesses. Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is a 257-bed full-service hospital with over 200 of the most highly respected and qualified physicians in the area. It is the only acute care hospital in the Tri-County area that offers open heart surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, an Accredited Chest Pain Center and a Cancer Care Center that is associated with the UAB Health System Cancer Community Network. It also has the only Pediatrics ER in the area with 24-hour pediatrician care. FWBMC also has a psychiatric treatment center, advanced care for critically ill patients, including cardiovascular.

Our Couplet Care system provides one nurse per patient and baby.
