About Us

The Emerald Coast Council on Aging is committed to supporting the independence and well-being of seniors and their families throughout Walton County. We offer a comprehensive range of services—including home-delivered and congregate meals, in-home support, caregiver resources, wellness programs, and personalized case management—all designed to help older adults remain safely and comfortably in their homes. Our programs are funded through a combination of state and federal grants enabling us to assist eligible individuals at little or no cost, while also offering private pay options for those other seniors not on a program. Through compassionate care and coordinated services, we promote dignity, security, and a higher quality of life for the aging population in our community.

From 2022 to 2024, we served over 350 seniors with 75,000 meals through congregate sites and home delivery. Additionally, we provided 45,000 hours of in-home assistance—including housekeeping, companionship, respite care, transportation, and shopping. Our case managers dedicated 2,000 hours to oversight, ensuring high-quality service delivery to an additional 250 seniors.
