As A Bed 4 Me expands our footprint, we are looking for a caring individual who is dedicated to serving local families. This position is an entry position with strong potential for growth in hours, salary and responsibilities.
 
Job Summary: The Program Coordinator will focus on service delivery of beds to include implementation of processes for introductory visits/deliveries, volunteer coordination, managing inventory, and coordinating bedding orders with buyers. The Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining a supportive volunteer base to expand the mission. Responsible for documentation management of referrals, applications, introductory visits, deliveries, and data collection. The Program Coordinator will present training of volunteers along with the Executive Director.
 
Location and Terms: part-time, 10 to 15 hours a week. Shared office time with the Executive Director and remainder of work in the field or remote. The Program Coordinator will be provided with thirty hours of paid leave each year and ten paid holidays to be taken at their discretion.   
 
Salary/rate: This position is paid $17.00 - $19.00 an hour, biweekly. Pay period hours should not exceed 30 hours.
 
Supervisory Responsibilities:
 

  • Responsible for managing volunteer and coordination/assignments. 
 
Duties/Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for vehicle management including schedule use and maintenance.
  • Responsible for tracking inventory, logging inventory amounts and re-ordering based on order guidelines.
  • Managing volunteer database and community resource database.
  • Communication with bedding volunteers for delivery events.
  • Provide training for volunteers, delivery leads and introductory leads to include processes, policies, procedure reviews and foundation fundamentals.
  • Manage intro visits and deliveries of beds for families with volunteer staff.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures related to service functions.
  • Support various community resource meetings and fundraising events to include set up and tear down as needed, and/or recruiting volunteers to support events as time allows.
  • Establishing professional relationships with local service agencies, organizations and those associated.
  • Furthering education on local resources, child welfare agencies and the processes within.
  • Quarterly written and oral communication with the Board of Directors on program status.
  • Other tasks assigned include business-related errands if time allows.

  • Must be a Walton County resident.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to relay successes and challenges.
  • Passion for the mission and serving children, and compassion for understanding the families we serve.
  • Ability to witness children and circumstances of challenging content without judgement or emotion and move past unsatisfactory conditions. To also lead volunteers through the same points and challenges.
  • Personal integrity displaying honesty, humility, morals and follow-through commitments.
  • Willingness to embrace continuous learning.
  • Commitment to building an into/delivery volunteer base, and to keep volunteers engaged, trained, and fulfilled in their roles.
  • Time management skills for management of home visits, office and field time.
  • Organizational skills to cover all aspects of programs and services.
  • Basic computer skills including email, word processing, power point and spreadsheets.
  • Attention to detail and importance of record keeping and documentation.
  • Group Me experience a plus (volunteer event management).
  • Training on AirTable platform will be provided (family document management).
  • Media skills including texting, photos, videos, and efforts to further engagement.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license.
 
Education and Experience:
 
  • Associates degree.
  • Not for profit experience preferred.
  • At least three to five years of volunteer leadership experience is preferred.
 
Physical Requirements:
 
  • Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Walking for moderate distances.
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles including the A Bed 4 Me van.
  • Ability to access and secure all vehicles and storage/office facilities.
  • Ability to lift thirty pounds at a time.
  • May be required to bend, ascend/descend stairs (with or without carrying loads) to/from the floor. Also, may be required to move/load/unload inventory in quantities.
  • Deliveries may include the use of small power tools and will require climbing in/out of vehicles as well as driving for durations up to one hour without a stop.
