Mid Bay Bridge Authority Meeting & Annual Workforce Pass Proposal

The Walton Area Chamber of Commerce has become aware of efforts to ease the financial burden for the workforce that utilizes the Mid-Bay Bridge. The Chamber offers its strong support and encourages the Mid-Bay Bridge Authority to pursue these efforts.
 
As the research shows, a reduction in the toll amount paid by the citizens who commute to work using the Mid-Bay Bridge would also benefit the businesses in our area. A toll reduction for area residents will make the commute more affordable, which in turn will make jobs in the South Walton and Destin communities more attractive to the workforce living north of the ridge. A larger workforce equals better business and greater success, which is our goal for the businesses in our membership.

The meeting will be held July 21, 2016 at the Niceville City Hall beginning at 9:00 a.m. Public attendance is encouraged.
