German Masterpieces

The season opening concert for the NFSO’s 24th year begins with an evening of some of the most beautiful and enduring music ever written for orchestra. Guest artist Tobias Steymans, Concertmaster ofthe prestigious Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra in Germany, joins the orchestra to showcase his interpretive genius with a performance of the Brahms Violin Concerto in D major. The NFSO will also perform the Mendelssohn Symphony No. 3 in A minor “Scottish”. The NFSO is the Emerald Coast’s premiereprofessional orchestra and performs on the mainstage of the Mattie Kelly Arts Center, where a custom orchestral shell provides an optimum acoustical experience for symphony patrons.
